About JTE Electrical

JTE Smart Energy Head Office is based in Leeds. As a company we have an exceptional wealth of knowledge and experience in the energy industry, accumulated over a significant number of years, which we have refined to offer our clients a personal yet highly professional service from survey to install, and into after sales support.

Our business is about both giving our customers the information they need and working with them to deliver the right products that will suit their homes and/or their business.

For our domestic customers we offer state of the art solar PV systems, battery storage options and voltage optimization.  We work with our customers to create a unique offering that will produce the best results for their household.

For our commercial clients who are very often running a busy business with high electrical demands then JTE can offer a number of different products to suit your needs from Solar PV, LED lighting and voltage optimisation.

What is Solar PV?

Would you like to save money on your energy bills?

Solar cells, also called photovoltaic (PV) cells, convert sunlight directly into electricity. PV gets its name from the process of convert energy from the sun (photons) to electricity (voltage), which is called the PV effect. These cells don’t need direct sunlight to work – they can still generate electricity on a cloudy day. All year round the Solar PV system will generate electricity that means a reduction in the amount you use directly from your supplier, thereby reducing your bill. Combined with battery storage it can be even more effective.

Battery Storage

Energy storage systems, also known as batteries or thermal stores, allow you to capture heat or electricity when it is readily available, typically from a renewables system, and save it until a time when it is useful to you. This reduces the dependence on your energy supplier and helps to reduce your bills. Historically, if you had a PV system you could only use the electricity as it was being generated. Now you can be at work all day for example, and by having batteries installed, you can store the electricity and use it in the evening when you get home.

Voltage Optimiser

Voltage optimisation is an energy saving technology that is used to regulate, clean and condition the incoming power supply in order to reduce the voltage supplied to the optimum level for the on-site electrical equipment and appliances. The voltage level that comes into our homes is very often more than we need to run our electrical appliances.

The voltage optimiser reduces the level of voltage that powers the appliance meaning less kilowatts and therefore lower bills. It’s a very simple concept but very effective.
